How we got here
2004
A Local Business with a Long History
ACRE Cars was founded in 2004 by Tristan Priddis, an entrepreneur from East Hertfordshire. What began as a local taxi business in Hoddesdon, serving the Borough of Broxbourne, has grown into a transport service offering a wider range of journeys for both private and business customers.
From the beginning, our focus has been on providing practical, dependable transport for the people and businesses who rely on us.
2014
Growing Beyond Local Taxi Services
In 2014, ACRE overhauled their car and driver booking system and implemented a technology solution that enables quick, accurate booking of executive cars, driver allocation, and vehicle GPS tracking. Taking full advantage of the digital age, the ACRE car booking App for iPhone and Android was also launched.
This year marked a milestone as ACRE opened its first office in Hoddesdon, allowing for walk-in bookings and enabling the hiring of office staff to manage bookings and drivers. Recently, this office is not manned by staff, but is instead used for storage.
2018
Opening of the Hertford Office
In 2018 ACRE Cars opened its second office, also on Ware Road, but this time in Hertford.
On the corner of Caxton Hill by Hertford Tescos and a 5-minute walk from Hertford town centre. The Hertford office is manned during the day until 5 pm, and some evenings, by friendly staff who can help you with any questions and arrange a car to take you home with shopping, or to pre-book a car to take or collect you and your party from the airport, to go to London shopping, or for any other transport needs.
2026
Expansion to Florida
In 2026, ACRE opened up their new office in Florida! This has been in the works for a few years, and is a big dream of Tristan, the director.
This expansion does not mean ACRE will reduce its presence in the UK; only a few staff members will relocate to Orlando to oversee the new office opening. So if you're ever on vacation in Orlando or the surrounding areas, try out Acre Cars Orlando!
